6 week update

WOW!  It has already (as of tomorrow) been 6 weeks since I became a Mommy!  It is going so fast, and I love Brantley more every day!

The last 6 weeks have been an interesting journey for sure.  The first 2 weeks Brantley was such a good and happy baby, and then his Mommy got put in the hospital and B was put on formula.  That rocked his little world.    He had a hard time adjusting, but did adjust just in time to start nursing again.  So, then it rocked his world again.  Now we are doing both since it was so hard on him before, and with me going back to work then he might have to do both then.  Now that his feedings are going well he is much happier.  Although, now he fights sleep from about 8 at night until 11 at night.  Once he goes out he is OUT!  I didn't think he would fight sleep until he was older, but he does.  His tummy doesn't hurt.  He just doesn't want to sleep.  He sleeps for at least 5 hours at a time at night, and then we feed and he is back out for 4 hours.  So, I get some sleep, but worry about when I go back to work.   He is 9 pounds 4 ounces as of last week.  He is growing so fast.

Today was Mommy's day at the doctor.  I went to see Dr. Hermann.  He said I look good and healthy.  My blood pressure was back to a good level, and we are going to reevaluate in a month.  He still has me taking bp meds for now, and I hope we can get off of them in a month.  He said by then all pregnancy hormones should be out of my system.

Now comes the hard part, since I am released I go back to work on March 26th.  I am ready, but not all at the same time.  I miss work and my coworkers, but I know I will miss Brantley sooooo much!  I am one of these weirdos that loves my job, and really, really, really miss my job.  I know that I will miss loving on my son all day though.  I feel so torn, and it isn't even here yet!!!!

Hopefully, I will continue to blog, but probably not weekly.  So, there is your small update!  Here are some pictures of my super cute little man!

We are going to take a picture with this bear every month to see how much Brantley grows!

Every Month I will be making a sign outlining his accomplishments.  Got the idea from Pinterst.

My friend Jill Ellison took all of the following pictures of Brantley.  They are his newborn pictures.

This picture means the world to me.  My Ma Ma that meant the world to me, LOVED owls.  When I saw this hat I had to get it for Brantley.  She would have LOVED Brantley, and would be so proud!  I know that she is watching her little owl!

These are the boots we wore at our wedding.  Our little cowboy looks so cute  with our boots.

Our first professional picture as a family!  Ignore Trent's long hair he needed a hair cut really bad!
