Our Anniversary!

Well, Trent and I didn't start our 2 year wedding anniversary in a good way.  We have a very sick little guy!  We headed to the ER around 1 something this morning.  We got taken back as soon as we got there, and Brantley's temperature was 102.8.  That is really really not good for a baby under 3 months.  We had already given him Tylenol at home, and it still climbed to 102.8.  It was so hard for mommy and daddy.  He had to have his first IV.

I know...BLESS HIS HEART!

The hospital ran a bunch of test, and everything came back normal.  We were there long enough to get Tylenol.  It took a while for his fever to go down.  The poor guy also had to have a spinal tap.  We hope to have all the results back on Friday, and hope that it is just a virus.  Our pediatrician wants to see him first thing in the morning to give him more antibiotics just in case, while we wait on the cultures.  There was some small amount of bacteria found, and we are waiting on the culture on it.

This is NOT how Trent and I wanted to spend our 2 year wedding anniversary.  I know that this has truly brought us closer, and we work so well together.  I am BEYOND BLESSED!  Trent was truly the man made for me!  He is my rock, and kept me from panicking last night.  He always knew just what to say and do!  I am married to the most amazing man in the world!  God gave me him for the up's and down's, and there is no more proof then last night!  I hope that every woman in the world can find a man as great as mine, and that all children have an amazing father like my husband! (And my daddy of course!)

Say some prayers for Brantley that this is just a virus and we are on the mend!  Thanks!

Brantley's first Easter!

I know I am a little late, but better late than never.  It was such an amazing day.  We were really worried that morning because it was raining, and raining A LOT!  We had both families coming over to our house for Brantley's first Easter.  The menu was burgers on the grill, and if it is raining that makes it difficult.  The party was starting at 2, and it stopped raining around 1, just in time!  We had B's first Easter Egg hunt.  I know he wont remember, but I got some good pictures!

Brantley is soo fun now a days.  He just smiles and smiles.  I LOVE his sitters, Kim and Rodney.  They just love Brantley soo much, and that makes it much easier to be away from him.  They are both so excited every day when I drop him off.  I wish they would keep B next year, but I have to find someone starting in August. :-(

Life as a working mother is going.  I love working, but I miss my little man!  I think about all day, and I know I am missing him doing fun things and that makes me sad.  I also really enjoy being at work.  I love working with the kids at my school, and I love being back with them!  I feel torn all the time.  I have always wanted to be an educator, and can't imagine not educating children.  In 30 something days I will be a Summer Stay at Home Mommy!  That is pretty good if you ask me!
